  • I am keen to include Scottish flowers in my wedding, do you offer this?"
Between late March/early April and mid/end October we use as many flowers from Millpond flower farm in the Scottish borders as we can get our hands on. We have been working with Paula Baxter, who runs Millpond, for 2 years now and in that time Paula has developed a good understanding of what our brides are looking for and is constantly adding new varieties and colours to her selection. We love working with these Scottish grown flowers as they are colourful, full of scent, and help to create that beautiful, natural style that many of our brides are looking for whilst also supporting another small business and reducing air miles.
  • Do you have a minimum spend for wedding flowers?
For bespoke design, our minimum spend for 2018 is £1200 plus delivery/set up fees. If you are looking for a more affordable option, you may want to ask us about our wedding packages, which start at £380 for our bridal flowers only package We deliver bespoke weddings across the whole of Scotland, packages are available across the central belt only
  • How much do wedding flowers cost?
We realise that most couples have never hired an event florist before getting married, and are often stuck when setting a budget for flowers. Our small flower packages start at £380, and bespoke design starts at £1200 plus travel/set up. If you are thinking about bespoke design then please get in touch and i will send you out some questions to find out a little more about what you are looking for, from there i can give you a rough overall budget.
  • I am looking for bridal flowers only, is this something i can order from you?"
We offer packages for small weddings between April and mid October (when British flowers are readily available) Our smallest package includes One Bridal bouquet, 2 Bridesmaid bouquets, 2 buttonholes plus a Flower crown or sets of flowers for the bridesmaids, this starts at £380. We ask that you give us your colour scheme (we are happy to give advice here too) and we will create the arrangements in our signiture style. We offer a complimentary telephone consultation for our packages. All flowers will be delivered to you on the morning of your wedding. Packages are available for weddings across central belt Scotland only
  • Do you work with international brides?
Each year many of our brides and groomrs travel from overseas to get married in Scotland. We appreciate that this can make wedding planning trickier for our couples, however, we are happy to schedule Skype consultations at times to suit you (and to suit the different time zones!) We can also arrange to visit your venue if there is anything we need to see or measure up to be able to design your flowers for you. You might also want to look at our seasonal flowers page to see what flowers will be available for you when you are getting married. We appreciate that living further afield its often impossible to find word of mouth recommendations for your wedding suppliers- if you would like to read what our previous brides and grooms have to say about us please check out our testimonials page. We are also happy to recommend other local wedding suppliers who we have worked with before and who we know and trust to make your wedding day run smoothly
  • Will you be able to travel to the Highlands to deliver our wedding flowers?
We have travelled all over Scotland to deliver and set up wedding flowers and always love the opportunity to travel somewhere new. Sometimes we require accommodation if the drive is too far to reasonably get back home again in one day, please drop us a line and we can chat more.
  • I am getting married between Christmas and New Year's, are you free?"
After working long and un-sociable hours during peak wedding season, we figure that we can afford some downtime around Christmas therefore 24th December to 5th January each year is reserved as tv and quality street time
  • I am on a budget, can we reduce the spend by using seasonal flowers?"
Unfortunately a lot of wedding magazines and blogs focus on the use of seasonal flowers to reduce flower spend. In reality, most florists (including us) will always use seasonal flowers in our designs (some florists may make an exception if they are specifically asked for something that means something special to their clients that isn't in season.) For us this is because the quality of flowers which aren't in season really isn't great- a peony in late May will be far bigger and better quality that one in February, and it just won't look right in a bouquet of early spring flowers. Using the best of what is in season will always look best. So, yes, seasonal is cheaper than non seasonal, but non seasonal is exceptionally expensive!
  • Do you have insurance?
Yes, we have full liability and indemnity insurance
  • We would like to book you, what do we do now?"
Please contact us so we can check our availability and find out a little more about your wedding plans. Once we have had a consultation i will send you a full proposal with costings, we ask for a £200 non returnable booking fee to secure your date, with the full remaining balance due 1 month before your wedding date
