Frequently asked questions

Do you have a minimum/maximum numbers of attendees?

We need a minimum number of 10, there is no maximum as we can hire in freelance florists to assist with the teaching for large groups

Do you only teach flower crowns?

Flower crowns are our most popular option, however, we can also teach hand tied bouquets , vase displays, wreaths and just about anything else floral that you would like to learn. Note that we only suggest bouquets and vases for groups who don't have to travel by plane to return home after the hen party weekend as these displays are in water.

What types of flowers will we use?

The flowers we use will change throughout the year according to the seasons, alongside seasonal flowers we will use year round flowers such as roses, carnations and lisianthus which all last well in flower crowns so you can wear them for the rest of the evening

Do you host hen party workshops in your studio?

Our studio isn't suitable for hosting workshops and so we can come to your home/rented hen party flat or help you find a venue

Where in Edinburgh do you host workshops?

We recommend Akva (in Fountainbridge) Hemma (in the old town) and Sofi's Southside. They are all independent Swedish bars where you can hire a space upstairs - they also offer food platters and drinks.

How much does a flower crown workshop cost?

Workshops are priced at £35 each There are no travel fees for central Edinburgh, Glasgow or Falkirk, for other locations a travel fee may apply (please email for info) The cost does not include venue hire We ask for a £15 booking fee per person, payable at the time of booking by bank transfer. The final payment will be due 14 days prior to the event by bank transfer Our prices are non negotiable

How long do flower crown workshops take?

Workshops tend to last 1.5 to 2 hours, we also require 30 mins ahead of start time to set up , plus 20-30 minutes after the workshop to clear up.

Do you provide all tools needed?

Yes, alongside vases full of flowers we bring along floral scissors, tapes and wires for each person and an apron to wear

Will you take photographs of the workshop?

I am happy to take group photos on your phones/cameras at the end of the workshop for you to share with each other. I usually try and get some photos of the workshop in action and some close up photos of you wearing the crowns to share on my own social media/blog etc, if you would prefer not to be photographed please let me know in advance or on the day of the workshop

Do i need to have worked with flowers before?

Not at all, you don't need to have worked with flowers or class yourself as creative to take part. I will do a demo at the start of the class then will be on hand throughout to help out and give advice. Some attendees prefer to get on with things themselves with little help, and others would prefer that i helped out with flower choice, colours to use etc

Do you teach outside of Edinburgh?

We teach workshops across Central Belt Scotland and have taught in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Falkirk and Midlothian. If you are unsure whether we cover your area just drop us a line, if we can't teach, we might be able to recommend someone more local to you
